Crafts and Copyrights: The Forums

Forums are currently offline, until further notice.

Here, designers and artists along with crafters of all kinds and craft retailers can discuss issues that we face in the arts and craft industries today.

The public forums are open to all who register. New members can register by clicking the link at the top, right-hand menu on the forum home page. Follow the instructions and you will be sent a confirmation e-mail. Once confirmed, you will have access to the public area of the forum.

Be aware that copyrights can be an emotional issue for many people. However, that doesn't give members an excuse to be threatening or excessively rude. Please read and abide my our Terms of Use to remain on the forums.

Private Forums

The private forums are open to all established and copyright-law-abiding designers and artists. Membership must be pre-approved.

First, you must register at the public forum as described above. If possible, use a verifiable e-mail address, such as one used on your business Web site. If desired, you may change this e-mail address once your account is set up and you are approved for membership to the Designer and Artist forum. Once a member of the public forum, send an e-mail with the e-mail used for registration to membership@craftsandcopyrights.com to upgrade your access to the Designer and Artist private area. Include your craftsandcopyrights.com login name and your business information, such as mailing address and Web site, in the message. If you do not have a public e-mail address to verify, please list trade industry references who know your e-mail address.

Private forum membership approval will be done manually, as time permits, so please be patient. Please understand that legitimate designers and artists may be initially denied, if you can not easily prove your identity. Hopefully, this will become less common as more members join to act as references.
